HOW TO RECOGNIZE A NURSE
ELIGIBILITY

Nominations open on May 1st. The nomination deadline is July 31st, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

To be eligible for nomination, nurses must be actively employed within the Permian Basin and surrounding counties with an active Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse License.

Eligible counties include Andrews, Borden, Brewster, Crane, Dawson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock, Howard, Loving, Martin, Midland, Mitchell, Pecos, Reagan, Reeves, Terrell, Upton, Ward, and Winkler.

You may submit up to 2 additional support documents in addition to the nomination form. Support documents could be a resume, CV, letters of recommendation, articles, or other media highlighting the nominees’ application.

Incomplete or illegible forms will not be considered.

You may nominate as many qualified nurses as you feel meet the criteria.

No self-nominations will be accepted.

SELECTION
Nurses will be notified in late September and be formally recognized at the ceremony scheduled for October 15th, 2026 at 630 pm at the Odessa College Nursing Simulation Center in Odessa, TX. You can find previous winners and event photos in the "EVENT" section.
